Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the many naturally formed compounds found in the cannabis plant which is non-psychoactive (meaning it does not get you high).

How does CBD work?

Cannabidiol (CBD) works in the body by producing endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that interact with cannabinoid receptors in our central nervous system. CBD serves as an anti-inflammatory and is believed to produce calming effects that help with anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Both hemp and marijuana are derived from the cannabis plant. Hemp has no psychoactive effects (meaning it does not get you high). It contains a high level of Cannabidiol (CBD) with a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) level less than 0.3%. However, marijuana does cause psychoactive effects due to the high levels THC, the compound responsible for causes a high. It can also produce CBD.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the compound found in the cannabis plant that is responsible for psychological effects "high".

Will CBD products show up on a drug test?

Salvator Farms cannot guarantee the results for any individual's experience. Under normal circumstances, our delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) Free products are not expected to show a positive result for THC consumption through testing. One can assume that our Full Spectrum (containing trace amounts of THC) products are likely to show up on a drug test. Therefore, we recommend that you consider the risks of incorrect detection and refrain from the use of these products if you have an upcoming drug test. Please be advised, urine tests detect THC metabolites and cannabinoids can stay in the fat cells for approximately 30 days. For fingernail drug test, you should stop using THC or Full Spectrum products at least 3 months before your drug screen.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of neurons, cannabinoids, and cannabinoid receptors throughout the body. It's primary role is to keep the body balanced and regulate bodily functions. CBD binds to receptors CB1 and CB2 to help the body relax, remember to eat, forget traumatic experiences, regulate temperature, manage pain, mood, sleep, metabolism, and memory.
